Shower head needed descaling and the windows were stiff to open.

Our stay in the Queen Room at the Ashburn Hotel was a delightful experience. We found the room to be surprisingly spacious, especially when compared to the typical room sizes in London. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the magnificent bed; it was absolutely fabulous, providing a restful night's sleep. The room was very clean, although it's worth noting that, as an older building, some areas are showing signs of wear and could benefit from a bit of reconditioning. The location of the Ashburn Hotel couldn't have been better. Just a short 4-minute walk from the Gloucester Road tube station, it was extremely convenient for exploring the city. The hotel's staff deserves a special mention; they were not only friendly but also incredibly accommodating and polite, making us feel truly welcome throughout our stay. The breakfast offered at the hotel was quite satisfactory. In particular, the full English breakfast stood out as a delicious and hearty way to start the day. All in all, I would not hesitate to book a room at the Ashburn Hotel again. Our time there was lovely, and the convenient location, welcoming staff, and comfortable room made for a memorable stay. We stayed in room 703, and the only suggestion would be to address the toilet. The cistern took quite a long time to refill, but aside from this minor issue, everything in the room functioned as it should. We look forward to returning for another visit and would recommend the Ashburn Hotel to anyone seeking a comfortable and well-located stay in London.

Great location close to the tube, V/A museum and many more… Small and quaint hotel! A mix of traditional and modern charm. Friendly staff aiming to please.

Change of season made it difficult to stabilize heating/air conditioning.

Room is small, however adequate & comfortable.

Lighting in bathroom is a little dim / dark for me personally for doing makeup and bathroom is v compact so not slot of room but it could do with a shelf and a wall magnifying mirror. No where for me to hang longer outfits / dresses as wardrobe v tight & contained coffee / tea / safe & misc except to leave them hanging on mirror outside. We managed and clean towels were plentiful. Front of hotel is rather dreary from outside especially at night. Could do with sprucing up and adding one/two flower boxes & warmer lighting. Staff we met were always nice.

Attention to detail was missing, unpainted patch on the ceiling, dust at bottom bathroom door posts and bed lamp cable had black masking tape on it connecting it to another cable.

The room suited our purposes for 1 night. The bathroom could do with an update (hence overall 9).

Breakfast room extremely cramped and continental choice limited.

It is expensive to stay there--though probably no more so than anywhere in that location. Could breakfast have been included? Also tea/coffee making facilities in room?

Super comfortable bed. Lovely breakfast room with wonderful staff. Nice bar that is open in evening for that last drink. The desk staff were very helpful.

Needs grab bar for getting out of combo tub/shower.

Great location near Piccadilly line and buses. Decor well done. Breakfast had gluten free toast and good diabetic options. Staff were courteous with directions.

Hotel location is fantastic and the overall ambiance of the building is just delightful. Just a short walk to Gloucester Station and there is a large Waitrose nearby so you can easily stock up on water and snacks for your room. Also tons of little restaurants and cafes in the area. Location can't be beat! We were upgraded (yay) and our room was quite spacious with a great view of Cromwell Road. Unfortunately we were only staying for one night, so we didn't have too much time there, but it is definitely a hotel that I would rebook for my next trip.

Our room (#207) faced Cromwell Road and it was much busier/noisier than I had anticipated since the neighborhood itself is quite peaceful. I'm not a light sleeper, so it's typically not a problem, but I did use a white noise app to drown out the noise of traffic from the street. If you are a light sleeper, I would definitely be specific about your choice of room.

The location was great and the size of the room larger than we expected ... a few minutes walk to the underground . Quiet too .

Breakfast was simple and if we wanted eggs we had to pay extra ...

The breakfast was fine but not a huge variety of options, and a very small room with very small tables!

Location is great and surprisingly quiet being on the Cromwell Road. Continental Breakfast was excellent. Everyone was friendly and very helpful. Ideal for a short break.

Shower was a bit of a trial - but not a big deal in the scheme of things!

- compared with similar hotels in London, this has good value for money and spacious rooms with spacious bathroom. - great location, tube station "Gloucester Road" just around the corner - Victoria & Albert museum, National History museum, Harrods, Hide Park in walking distance - very clean and nice atmosphere in the rooms - I will choose the same hotel again

- breakfast was supposed to be included, but if you want warm breakfast like eggs & bacon, you have to order these separately at a price. The breakfast on offer is okay and of good quality, but I would have expected that scrambled eggs are part of a normal breakfast. - I have trouble sleeping of the room is too bright at night. Since I had a room on the last floor, there were no curtains, just a store, due to the roof. So, I could not shade the room enough for my purposes. However, last floor is also very quiet, so there was a tradeoff!

Great location near to tube and bus stops as well as a good range of eateries. Near to South Kensington museums and Hyde Park. Very close to good supermarket . Clean comfortable room with very good wifi. Friendly helpful staff and very good continental breakfast buffet included.

Great location - 5 minutes walk from Gloucester Road tune and 10 minutes from the National History, V and A and Science Museums Handy for Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park etc

It's a well located lovely hotel that has recently been refurbished. The staff were extremely helpful and the rooms very spacious and spotless. The continental breakfast was very good. I would definitely recommend it.

The pillows weren't to.my liking but that's a personal thing. My travelling companion was more than happy with them.
